The QSX is the first diesel of the 21st century, with totally integrated electronics that link engine and equipment performance like never before. Performance
• Full-Authority Electronic Controls offer advanced diagnostics and programming options. The Electronic Control Module is totally programmable, so you can specify performance parameters to exactly match your equipment. It’s a concept we call PowerMatch. Then, we optimize the engine’s performance with other vehicle components, using the Cummins Advisor program.
• The Dual cams drives the high-pressure fuel injection system, capable of pressures up to 30,000 psi. Higher injection pressure means greater combustion efficiency. So your getting more power with fewer emissions.
• The Intebrake engine brake adds extra braking capacity while reducing service brake wear and extending maintenance intervals.
• Our electronics let you set up multiple torque curves that are switchable. You can even program an alternate high idle speed and make it operator-controlled.
• The QSX is multi-fuel capable, which means you can even use kerosene when diesel fuel is not available. If premium-quality lube oil isn’t available, your customers can use CD grade oil.

Easy Maintenance & Installation
When it comes to routine maintenance, less is more. And the QSX is designed for less.

• Easy Installation - four-point-mounting capability, dipsticks and oil fills are available on both sides of the engine, and there are three drain ports available (right, left and center) so you never have to worry about having access to maintenance points.
• The QSX's overhead dosen’t need adjusting until 3,000 hours or three years, whichever comes first.
• Oil drain intervals are set at 500 hours – twice as long as before.
• Filters are vertically mounted with easy access and rapid changing with no messy spills.
• Polyvee belts have auto-tensioners, so they never need adjustment.
• The metallic gaskets feature and edge-molded design for 100% leak-free operation.
• Low-Maintenance Fuel Filter Assembly - Integrated water separator and water-in-fuel sensor help prevent performance
problems that result from contaminated fuel. A 10-micron filter is designed for filter change intervals of 500 hours – consistent
with oil change intervals.
