The improved Cummins C Brake™ by Jacobs® is a heavy-duty compression brake designed specifically for theM11, M11+ and the ISM. It works together with the Variable Geometry Turbocharger to deliver an additional 40 braking horsepower in the 2002 engine. This "Jake" brake gives drivers greater control on steep downhill runs, by reducing the need for service brake use and the risk of overheating the brake elements. Some fleets have been able to double their brake replacement intervals with the use of Cummins C Brake by Jacobs, reducing downtime, parts and labor costs significantly.
