Holset Variable Geometry Turbo
Most Variable Geometry Turbochargers use flexible vanes, with literally dozens of wear points and individual parts constantly moving under intense pressure an heat.  The Variable Geometry Turbocharger developed by Holset is different.  It replaces the movable vanes with a single sliding nozzle, eliminating dozens of parts and increasing dependability and durability.

The combination of cooled Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) and the Holset Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VG Turbo) results in engines with an excellent balance of performance and fuel economy. That’s why we’ve used the same cooled EGR and VG Turbo subsystem on our complete lineup of low-emissions engines.
